Cashier:

As a cashier you are the face of the Golden Hog Market.  You will be the first person a customer sees when they arrive and the last when they leave.  As a cashier you are expected to provide exceptional customer service to every customer that visits the Golden Hog Market.

Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

-Attention to detail.

-Must be able to operate a cash register.

-Good math skills.

-Be able to life 25 lbs.

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

-Must address all customers quickly with a smile and positive attitude.  Ask them “Have you found everything ok?”, ”Thank You for shopping with us!”.

-Participates in any additional training and helps with the training of others when assigned.

-Learn the location of the products in the store to assist customers with finding them.

-Support the grocery staff by pricing and putting out products when asked by management.

-Keeps a clean work area.

-Performs other duties assigned by the manager on duty.

-Informs the manager on duty of customer complaints.

-Performs all duties in a safe and timely manner.

-Follows their assigned schedule and arrives at work in a timely manner unless instructed otherwise by a manager.

-Meets the physical requirements to perform the above duties.

Pastry Assistant:

We are seeking a skilled and creative pastry assistant looking to fulfill a vital role in our kitchen. You must have proven experience creating delicious pastries, desserts and baked goods and will work with our head chef to create new dessert items that complement and enhance our menu. The ability to work quickly and meticulously under pressure is a must.

Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

– Demonstrate proficiency in creation of signature desserts and pastries. Create, prepare and decorate all pastry products and baked goods

– Collaborate with head chef to create exciting new desserts that complement our menu. Create scalable recipes for all new products.

– Adhere to set recipes and taste test for quality assurance. Source and select necessary pastry ingredients. Perform quality checks of ingredients and dispose expired goods.

– Ensure all pastries are consistently presented and up to business standards. Provide exquisite presentation to all Bakery products.

– Manage foods costs and inventory for pastry goods. Maintain and count inventory and work towards cost reduction methods

– Communicate with other departments and front of the house management and staff to ensure successful product display and rotation.

– Must have knowledge of Bakery sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Proficiency using kitchen equipment and appliances.

– Outstanding attention to detail – both personal grooming/appearance and properly identifying guests needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.

– Enjoys working in a collaborative Bakery. Thrives in a fast paced environment and capable of multitasking. Excels in task delegation and Bakery station management.

– Strong leadership and Communication skills. Has a leadership style that is developmental vs. policing, promotes a culture of dialogue, role models values and practices of the company.

– Diploma in Baking and Pastry Associates with 2+ Years of experience. Food safety certified.

Deli Clerk:

A Deli Clerk is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to every customer.  The Deli Clerk is responsible for providing quick service to their customers while following food service and safety procedures.

Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:

-Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

-Must be friendly and provide exceptional customer service.

-Must follow food service and safety laws.

-Be able to lift 25 lbs.

-Must practice good hygiene.

-Must be able to operate a slicer.

-Assist in light cleaning duties (cleaning equipment, sweeping and mopping, dishes and any other projects assigned by the manager).

-Performs other duties assigned by the manager on duty.

-Informs the manager on duty of customer complaints.

-Performs all duties in a safe and timely manner.

-Follows their assigned schedule and arrives at work in a timely manner unless instructed otherwise by a manager.

-Meets the physical requirements to perform the above duties.
